Our approach is based around a deep understanding about how and why people think and behave like they do, the attitudes and skills that enable resilient people to thrive and maintain their emotional and psychological wellbeing under pressure, how people respond to difficult messages, what motivates people to overcome challenges and what great leaders do in tough environments. The following are examples of how we could work with your organisation:
- Stress Resilience & Wellbeing Training: In periods of significant change and increasing demands on your staff, it is critical that they are able to manage the increasing pressures that this brings and maintain their health and wellbeing. Through our training programmes we use current insights from modern leaders in the field (e.g. Dennis Charney and Martin Seligman) to teach people the skills and attitudes of truly resilient people, those who have the ability to cope effectively with pressure and uncertainty, managing their stress levels, owning their own wellbeing and successfully maintaining their motivation and performance - becoming more positive and flexible in the process. Our Building Resilience & Wellbeing workshop focuses on providing delegates at all levels with a deeper understanding and awareness of their own unique stress and pressure triggers as well as a wide range of simple strategies to develop and maintain their personal resilience to stress and improve their health and wellbeing over the long term. We also offer Wellbeing Coaching to individuals to help them through specific, personal challenges such as dealing with complex or changing work demands and change.
- GRIT Training: GRIT is the ability to use passion and perseverance to achieve your most challenging goals and ambitions. Recent studies (e.g. Duckworth 2016) have consistently shown that GRIT is the most important quality that makes people successful in all aspects of life, even more so than talent or intelligence. People with GRIT achieve more by:
- Having a clear personal vision about what matters to them and how they will make it happen
- Persisting through difficult times, overcoming obstacles and digging deep when they need to
- Sustaining their levels of effort and discipline over long periods
- Staying optimistic in the face of set-backs, rejection and lack of progress
- Learning from failures with an unerring belief that they have the capacity to improve and develop
- We offer a half or full day GRIT workshop that will help delegates to encourage a Growth Mindset – the belief that we can improve any skill or personal quality through effort & learning, leading to an increased optimism about our potential to develop and achieve even the most challenging goals. It will also focus on the creation of Top Level Goals - ultimate, long term ambitions that help guide our actions and motivate us, enabling us to persevere when times get tough.
- Having difficult Conversations Training: Provides individuals with the knowledge, skills and confidence to plan and deliver difficult messages when necessary to their teams and other colleagues. It will enable delegates to identify and overcome the barriers to difficult conversations, become more assertive and maintain their position in these situations, knowing when to have a difficult conversation (and when not to) as well as a simple process about how to plan and deliver the conversation. Delegates will also have the opportunity to work together to practice the key skills in delivering difficult messages.
- Team Development & MBTI: We specialise in delivering individual and team development events using MBTI (the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator). This is a powerful tool to develop awareness of self and others in the team, significantly improving communication, relationships and resolving conflicts or blockages in teams. We can also design bespoke team development activities for any level of team within your organisation to meet a variety of needs, including building morale, resolving conflict, overcoming incidents or setbacks, creating inspiring visions for the future or increasing team effectiveness and performance.
- Psychometric Testing for Recruitment & Talent Assessment: In tough times it’s absolutely critical to attract talented people into your organisation and identify and nurture your best performers. When the opportunity arises to recruit you can’t afford to make mistakes, your selection process has to identify the best possible candidates with the right abilities and behavioural ‘fit’ for your organisation.
